Mr. Toad’s Coffee Roasters Mission and Story

Mr. Toad’s Coffee Roasters was purchased in June 2004 by Stephanie Lake Britt, fulfilling a dream that began when she stepped into her first coffee roasters in 1987, satisfying a passion that began with her awe of a little brown bean and the love of a hot cup of Sumatra.

Mr. Toad’s was immediately given a face, a community voice, and a staff dedicated to coffee and coffee people alike, seed to cup. Her toad was designed and named “Norm,” symbolizing our relationship based customer service and the excellence in the coffees we roast and serve. Our “Norm” is representative of high goals, standards, relationships and respect of all people.

Mr. Toad’s Coffee Roasters began roasting and selling the highest grade green coffees, both wholesale and retail, in September 2005. Roasting our own coffee permits the company an opportunity to become more involved in the coffee industry. It finances more opportunities to help others both locally and in coffee origin countries. Roasting created a growing field of education and excitement for both staff and customers alike.

Never should a day pass without appreciation and gratitude to every person who plays a part in the beautiful world of coffee. The greatest pleasure of Mr. Toad’s Coffee Roasters is the wild ride in life we get to share, the intertwining of worlds that may never meet but will always be indebted to each other, and the gratitude and respect that is shown to all those who make it possible. Every month a portion of retail coffee sales and wholesale coffee sales is donated to an estate or farm that provides us with green coffee, as well as to local charities and people.

“Estate” - Most of our coffee offerings are grown and processed on a single farm. We choose some of the finest coffees offered by our importers because we both deserve to buy and provide beauty in tradition, quality and taste.

Signature Blends and Single Origins - We roast amazing single origin coffees, cupping each batch to perfect our roast profiles and to learn how each origin is most enhanced and honored. This dedication allows us to create signature blends for your coffee needs, and helps us both in the selection of what coffees will suit your customer base and your palate most effectively.

Continuous Improvement – We continually strive to achieve higher standards through ongoing education and training. This allows us to maintain our roasting standards and share our learning with you, our customer.

- Shipping/Delivery -

• Orders placed by 3:00pm will be roasted and shipped the following day. Urgent needs will be accommodated to our best ability, so do not hesitate to ask.
• We do recommend establishing an order schedule, as this helps us ensure timely delivery.
• We pride ourselves in providing the freshest coffee possible; therefore we are unable to ship outside of a 2 day delivery zone.
• If you are in our local delivery area we can accommodate Saturday deliveries with advance notice.
• We do not ship on Fridays or weekends, ensuring that no coffee sits in waiting on a delivery truck.
• Shipping and delivery costs will be determined at time of first order/ quote, based on customer proximity and need.

- No Minimum Orders -

• We will ship as little as one pound per order
• 5-20 pound orders per month may receive volume discounts on retail pricing
• Minimum 20+ pound orders and a valid tax ID# will receive wholesale pricing

- Payments -

• COD, M/C, Visa accepted. Past due accounts will receive coffee after account is settled, incurring a 2% late fee each two week period the account is not paid.
• Checks are accepted. NSF returns are charged $30 per incident.
